Rodas Guinea

BIO

As a kid, Salvador studied art in Guatemala at the gallery of the renowned artist Roberto Rios. From those early years, he was deeply moved by the surrealism of Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, Hieronymus Bosch and Giorgio de Chirico. That early exposure to subconscious art moved him to become an explorer himself, freely departing from reality to the realm of the subconscious with all its symbolism and its ability to speak in figures. In his early twenties, painting became meditation, a way to mature his faith in God, and a way to seize in two dimensions,  the colors of the unspoken dialogues of humanity.

In Guatemala he had 3 solo exhibitions and many collectives locally and in

Europe. His first show earned him the award  “Welcome to the Arts” granted by the French Alliance in Guatemala. All his shows generated a presence in the local TV and newspapers. He moved to California where he immediately found art opportunities in the Silicon Valley. He has done extensive murals for many customers around the areas of Los Gatos, Saratoga, and Los Altos Hills, efforts that had also generated some echoes in local newspapers and magazines.

Currently he resides with wife and kids in the California Central Valley where he  keeps a fluent art schedule with his customers in the Silicon Valley as he alternates his studio arts with his Kitchen remodeling business where he also applies all his creativity and his vast experience with woodwork.
